SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION TIPS:

1. Apply to every application for which you are eligible.  There is no limit to the amount of scholarships you can apply to.

2.  Personalize your essay and be passionate.  Of course, it must to pertain to the topic given.

3. Save some of your responses for future applications.  Some applications will ask the same question.

4. Check over everything for grammar and proper spelling.

5. Check your Facebook and other social media accounts, and remove any inappropriate or immature material.

6. DEADLINES!  Don't miss them.  Most scholarships will have a due date that isn't flexible.

7. Tailor your application to the sponsor’s goals. Read and follow the instructions carefully.

8.  So many kinds of unique scholarships are available online.  Search for yourself!  Here's one to get you started: https://www.unigo.com/scholarships

9.  Never pay to apply for a scholarship.

10.  Colleges and tech schools will want you to be accepted into their school before you can even apply for their scholarships.  Being accepted does NOT commit you to that school, so you can be applying and accepted at multiple Universities. Then you can compare your scholarship awards to help you decide which you will finally go to!
